ANZAC biscuits

In memory of the WW1 (1914-1918) soldiers who gave their lives to a war they had nothing to do with. The trench warfare was unbelievably brutal. Conditions were as bad as they could possibly be.
"They left as young men, they returned as old men".
We will remember them....
These oat biscuits had to survive 3 month's on a ship before they finally got to the men at the front line. By having no milk or eggs meant that they did not spoil on the long trip to Europe from New Zealand.
